Pieces of Me..
~a little note from Lindsey~
I’m not sure if anyone even reads the “what‘s up with this company” section of any literature, but just in case your magazine stack is all thumbed through or you‘ve reached the end of the internet….
I created Lindsey Erickson Designs in February of 2005 with $20 and a couple of ideas. Like most Moms, I wanted the best of both worlds. However, my drive to work was overshadowed by the longing to be with my children. After leaving work with a heavy and homesick heart, I decided to officially stay home. As week three of “happy housewife” approached, the baseboards couldn’t take any more scrubbing, my checking account was empty (thanks to my endless days of shopping). I was twiddling my thumbs during afternoon naps and had ideas begging to be released. After a brainstorm session (and a disconnected cell phone), I came up with a plan. Work from home! The creativity oozing out of my fingertips was ready to explode, so I knew I had to start making something. I had a brief stint with hair bows (which I wrecked terribly and am embarrassed I even made), then I set my eyes on something with a bit more sparkle. Wahlah! Here I am, two children, a fabulously supportive husband, and a ton (possibly two) of beads later. I knew after my first bracelet sold that I was addicted. Through the next years, I have pulled countless all nighters, served fast food dinners more times than I’ll disclose, and built a business. The love for my family has grown with my love for designing. My children inspire my best creations. At the most inopportune times (can you say labor and delivery?), creativity strikes and the sketch pad is pulled out (yes, literally sketching out a Christmas collection, thanks to an epidural). I absolutely love designing and making jewelry. It is a passion I can’t ignore, that itch that never goes away, the obsession you adore. I love the first spark of an idea, the inspiration behind it, the excitement that comes with creating it, and the moment a customer chooses to make it their own. After years of designing, I am still amazed that people want to buy my jewelry (apparently more than I ever thought). I feel amazingly blessed to have the creative bug and hope I am never cured.
Each piece I design is something I love. Every collection is my poetry I let others read. The jewels are pieces of my heart for you to wear. Our pieces are intended to be worn and treasured. Crafted to last a lifetime, then passed down to the ones you love.
After all, without love, it’s just beads.

Hey Lindsey! I love love love my “grandmother’s” necklace. Thank you so very much for your hard work. I saw a booth at Bella Vista craft fair a couple of weeks ago. Not as good as you, but thought you might want to check it out.
